What a "No Bullshit" Quote Actually Looks Like
The example: 6,000 balls, one design, one colour
Say you're a mid-size range restocking for the season. You want 6,000 balls, your logo, standard colours, delivered to the mainland. Here's what the quote actually says:
- Price per ball: 40.0p
- Cost per 1,000: £400.00
- Subtotal (6,000 balls): £2,400.00
- Artwork setup (1 design): £85.00
- Total ex VAT: £2,485.00
- VAT (20%): £497.00
- Total inc VAT: £2,982.00
That's it. That's the whole quote. No "final price may vary," no freight surcharge that turns up on the invoice three weeks later, no asterisk.
Why the price moves at higher volumes
The per-ball price drops as you order more, because that's how printing actually works, not because we're playing games with a "loyalty discount":
- 6,000–11,999 balls: 40p per ball
- 12,000–49,999 balls: 38p per ball
- 50,000+ balls: 36p per ball
Bigger runs cost less to produce per unit. We pass that straight through. We don't hold the good price back for people who know to ask for it.
What actually changes the number, and what doesn't
A few things do move the price, and we'd rather you knew them upfront than found them at checkout:
- Extra print colours — the first is included, each one after that adds 0.5p per ball
- Splitting your order across multiple designs — minimum 6,000 balls per design, so two designs means a 12,000-ball order
- Highlands & Islands delivery — priced separately (POA),
